HTM Week 2025 celebrates the unsung heroes, power of patient care

Biomedical professionals are celebrated for their contributions and tireless work ensuring the seamless operation of healthcare technology each year during Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Week. This awareness week was introduced by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and takes place May 18-24.

This year, Retrieve Medical Equipment (RME) honors the nearly 20,000 biomedical professionals throughout the U.S. (according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics) for their tireless, and often unrecognized, work to advance patient care and safety.

“Biomed professionals are the heartbeat of our industry and of patient care,” said Randall Brunswick, CEO of Retrieve Medical Equipment. “Biomed technicians, clinical engineers and healthcare technology professionals deserve recognition and celebration for their contributions to healthcare every day, but even more so this week.”

A contest to celebrate, feed one lucky team

As part of Retrieve Medical Equipment’s observance of HTM Week 2025, a contest was held to provide one lucky HTM team with a free lunch to celebrate their work in advancing healthcare technology and patient care. This year, the biomedical team of a full service community care healthy system in the San Gabriel Valley won the contest and will receive a delicious and well-deserved lunch!

The team at Retrieve Medical Equipment also sponsored care packages to five select hospitals throughout the country to thank those teams for their contributions to the profession and steadfast partnership.

How does Retrieve Medical Equipment support healthcare organizations?

The team at Retrieve Medical Equipment recognizes the challenges HTM professionals face each day and are committed to supporting them through comprehensive solutions, including:
